Saturday March 29th will be a full educational seminar beginning with Maxine Lynch and Gene Adcock discussing these topics in the morning hours:
Water Quality
Grooming for show
Complimentary Matings for herd improvement
Improving Production
Profits from your low end pelts Making chinchilla Roses
Maintaining herd health
The seminar begins at 9 am, though people are welcome to come earlier to help set up or chat with others in attendance prior to the seminar beginning.
Sunday, March 30th will be the sanctioned show. This show will be a claiming show, however you can choose whether you want to sell (or not) the chinchilla(s) you show. It is not mandatory that the chinchilla(s) shown must be sold, if they are your pet(s) or for your own breeding.
There will also be a table to the side for chinchillas to be sold by exhibitors at the show.
Entry fee for selling your chinchilla at the show (that is not a part of the show.) is $3.00 + 10% of the sale price on the table. Chinchillas that are for sale on the show table, are still $6.00 per entry with 10% of the purchase price if they are sold. The sales of those chinchillas in the show will finish up within 10 minutes after the show is over.
Educational Seminar ~ $25.00 per person
Chin Entrance Fee ~ $6.00 each ~ members
Chin Entrance Fee ~ $8.00 each - non members
The show doors will be open as early as 6 am for grooming and registration. The show will begin at 9 am.

With NCBC no longer within Canada, a new branch has started up from ECBC called the Western Canada Branch, so there will continue to be shows, events, educational seminars and more within Canada again.

National Chinchilla Breeders of Canada (NCBC)
I have been a member of National Chinchilla Breeders of Canada since 1998. The last show they had in BC for the Okanagan chapter was held in Vernon on April 2, 2005. About 200 chinchillas were present and many new members and faces were there.
